Bryan Weingarten to Serve as a Lead Supporter of A Chorus Line at Theatre Aspen This Summer

This summer, philanthropist and community leader Bryan Weingarten will serve as a lead supporter of Theatre Aspen’s highly anticipated production of A Chorus Line, reaffirming his longstanding commitment to preserving and expanding access to arts and culture in the Roaring Fork Valley.

One of the most celebrated musicals in Broadway history, A Chorus Line tells the story of seventeen dancers competing for a coveted spot in a Broadway production. Through powerful storytelling, unforgettable music, and iconic choreography, the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning musical offers a moving tribute to perseverance, ambition, and the pursuit of artistic dreams.

For Weingarten, supporting productions like A Chorus Line represents more than sponsorship. It reflects a broader belief in the role the arts play in strengthening communities and enriching lives.

“The arts have a unique ability to bring people together,” Weingarten says. “Whether you’re sitting in the audience, performing on stage, or supporting an organization behind the scenes, there’s something powerful about sharing stories that inspire, challenge, and connect us.”

Theatre Aspen has become one of the region’s premier cultural institutions, attracting talented performers and creative professionals while providing residents and visitors with access to world class theatrical experiences. Weingarten views the organization’s continued success as an important part of maintaining Aspen’s vibrant cultural identity.

“Communities thrive when they invest in creativity,” he says. “Organizations like Theatre Aspen create opportunities for artists, educate future generations, and provide experiences that stay with audiences long after the curtain falls. Supporting that mission is something I’m proud to do.”

This year’s production of A Chorus Line is particularly fitting for Weingarten’s philosophy of perseverance and personal growth. The musical’s characters each face uncertainty, competition, and self doubt while pursuing their dreams, qualities that resonate far beyond the theater.

“What makes A Chorus Line so enduring is its honesty,” Weingarten explains. “It’s about hard work, resilience, and the courage to put yourself out there. Those themes are universal, whether you’re on a Broadway stage, building a business, or pursuing any meaningful goal.”

As Theatre Aspen prepares to welcome audiences for the summer season, Weingarten hopes his support will help ensure the organization continues to flourish for years to come.

“Great communities are built on more than economics and infrastructure,” he says. “They’re built on culture, creativity, and shared experiences. Supporting the arts is an investment in the character and future of a community, and Theatre Aspen plays an important role in that vision.”

With Bryan Weingarten serving as lead supporter, A Chorus Line promises to be one of the highlights of Theatre Aspen’s summer season, a celebration of talent, determination, and the transformative power of the performing arts.
