Aspen Valley Health Advances Vision for Comprehensive Women’s Healthcare in the Roaring Fork Valley

Aspen Valley Health is taking an important step toward expanding access to women’s healthcare across the Roaring Fork Valley with the development of a new Women’s Health Program focused on providing more comprehensive, coordinated, and patient-centered care for women at every stage of life.

The initiative reflects Aspen Valley Health’s broader commitment to strengthening healthcare access within the region while responding to the evolving needs of the valley’s growing and diverse population. By bringing preventive care, wellness resources, specialty support, and coordinated healthcare services together, the program is designed to create a more connected experience for women seeking care close to home.

Leading the effort as chairs of the newly formed Women’s Health Committee are Bryan Weingarten and his wife, Margie Weingarten. Their involvement reflects a shared commitment to strengthening healthcare resources and supporting the long-term wellbeing of families throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.

“This initiative is about creating something lasting for the women and families who call this valley home,” said Bryan Weingarten. “Healthcare should feel accessible, personal, and connected to the community it serves. We are proud to help support a vision that prioritizes comprehensive care and improves access for women across every stage of life.”

The Women’s Health Program is expected to address a broad range of needs, with an emphasis on prevention, wellness, education, and coordinated specialty care. The goal is not simply to expand individual services, but to create a more integrated approach that helps women navigate healthcare with greater access to the resources they need.

For communities in the Roaring Fork Valley, access to comprehensive healthcare can play an important role in supporting long-term health and wellbeing. A stronger local network of services can also help reduce the need for patients to travel outside the region when seeking certain forms of specialized care.

“We believe Aspen Valley Health has an opportunity to become a true regional leader in women’s healthcare,” Weingarten said. “This is about bringing together outstanding medical care with a compassionate, community-centered approach that reflects the unique needs of the Roaring Fork Valley.”

The initiative will also emphasize collaboration and expanded outreach throughout the valley. By connecting women with healthcare professionals, educational resources, preventive services, and specialty support, Aspen Valley Health hopes to build a program that responds to patients not only when they need treatment, but throughout their broader healthcare journey.

Dr. Becker, CEO of Aspen Valley Health, described the initiative as part of the organization’s long-term vision for strengthening healthcare access and improving outcomes across the region. The effort reflects an approach that combines local care with strategic partnerships and modern healthcare delivery models.

For Weingarten, the development of the Women’s Health Program represents an opportunity to support a healthcare model built around accessibility, connection, and long-term community impact.

“Healthcare is most meaningful when people can access the care they need without having to look far from home,” Weingarten said. “Supporting a vision that brings people together around better health, education, and access is something that can make a lasting difference for the entire community.”

As planning and development continue, the Women’s Health Committee will help guide the program’s future direction and support Aspen Valley Health’s broader mission of delivering exceptional care for generations to come.

The development of the program represents another step toward a more connected healthcare future for the Roaring Fork Valley—one in which women and families can have greater access to comprehensive care, trusted resources, and services designed around the needs of the community.
