For Bryan Weingarten, philanthropy is about more than providing resources—it is about investing in individuals whose actions create lasting positive change. His charitable efforts are guided by a belief that education, service, and personal responsibility can transform lives and strengthen entire communities.
That philosophy is reflected in his ongoing support of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) and its IMPACT! Scholarship Program. Through the initiative, Bryan helps open educational opportunities for former combat soldiers, enabling them to build meaningful futures while continuing their commitment to serving others.
“I’ve always believed that opportunity can change the direction of someone’s life,” Bryan explains. “Programs like IMPACT! create that opportunity for young people who have already demonstrated an extraordinary level of commitment through their service.”
The IMPACT! Scholarship Program provides higher education funding for men and women who served in combat roles in the Israel Defense Forces. While the scholarships help students pursue academic goals, their impact extends far beyond the classroom. Recipients gain access to career opportunities, greater financial stability, and the ability to continue contributing to society in significant ways.
Many scholarship recipients dedicate substantial time to volunteer work, supporting some of the most vulnerable members of their communities, including elderly individuals, Holocaust survivors, and people facing difficult personal circumstances.
“What inspires me most is the ripple effect,” Bryan says. “These students aren’t just receiving support—they’re actively giving back in ways that have a real and lasting impact on their communities.”
A meaningful part of Bryan’s involvement comes from the relationships he develops with the students he supports. These personal connections offer a firsthand view of how educational opportunities can translate into broader community impact.
One such student is Aharon Bek, whose scholarship support has allowed him to continue his medical education while gaining practical experience caring for patients. Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Aharon volunteers with at-risk youth, helping young people facing poverty and legal challenges find pathways toward greater stability and opportunity.
“Hearing stories like Aharon’s is incredibly meaningful,” Bryan reflects. “When someone uses the opportunity they’ve been given to serve others, it reinforces exactly why these programs matter.”
For Bryan, the true value of philanthropy lies in its ability to create lasting outcomes through human connection. His continued support of FIDF and the IMPACT! Scholarship Program reflects a commitment not only to honoring military service, but also to helping develop future leaders whose education, compassion, and sense of responsibility will continue benefiting others for years to come.
“At the end of the day, it’s about supporting people who want to make a difference,” Bryan says. “If you can help someone move forward and create a positive impact in the world, that’s something truly worth investing in.”
