Honoring Service, Investing in Futures: Bryan Weingarten and FIDF IMPACT!

Bryan Weingarten’s philanthropy reflects a deeply personal commitment to service, education, and human dignity. Over the years, he has provided meaningful support to soldiers in the Israeli Army through sustained donations and scholarships within the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces’ IMPACT! Scholarship Program. For Bryan, the initiative represents more than financial assistance — it reflects a belief in investing in individuals whose dedication and responsibility shape stronger communities.

“I’ve always believed that opportunity can change the direction of someone’s life,” Bryan says. “Programs like IMPACT! make that opportunity possible for young people who have already shown tremendous commitment through their service.”

Through the FIDF IMPACT! Scholarship Program, Bryan helps provide higher education opportunities to young men and women who served in combat roles in the Israel Defense Forces. These scholarships open doors that might otherwise remain closed, allowing students to pursue university studies while building meaningful careers and continuing to contribute to society. FIDF IMPACT! scholars collectively volunteer hundreds of thousands of hours each year, supporting vulnerable populations including the elderly, Holocaust survivors, and individuals facing difficult life circumstances.

“What inspires me most is the ripple effect,” Bryan says. “These students aren’t just receiving support — they’re giving back to their communities in extraordinary ways.”

Bryan’s philanthropy is also defined by the personal connections he builds with the students he supports. One scholarship recipient, Aharon Bek, shared that Bryan’s support through the IMPACT! program allowed him to continue his medical studies while gaining hands-on clinical experience treating patients. Alongside his demanding coursework, Aharon volunteers with at-risk youth, helping guide adolescents facing poverty and legal challenges toward more hopeful futures.

“Hearing stories like Aharon’s is incredibly meaningful,” Bryan says. “When you see someone using the opportunity to serve others, it reinforces why these programs matter.”

For Bryan, philanthropy is never abstract. It is rooted in people, relationships, and lasting impact. His continued support of FIDF and the IMPACT! Scholarship Program reflects a thoughtful commitment to honoring service while helping shape a future defined by education, compassion, and shared responsibility.

“At the end of the day, it’s about supporting people who want to make a difference,” Bryan says. “If you can help someone move forward and create a positive impact in the world, that’s something truly worth investing in.”
